The Suppes Ghost

Anton Suppes (“Tony”) was a first-generation Volga German, born in 1917.  He lived in central Kansas for his entire life except for his WWII military service.  After the war, he smoked and drank a lot; it was a result of what he had been put through.  His service was in the Patton’s Victory Division from France to the Elbe.  He didn’t speak much about the war, but through the years, it became clear that his service was not typical.  When asked if he was ever on the front line, he responded that he was at or behind enemy lines for his entire service from July, 1944 until the end of the European theatre.

Tony was the right-hand man of the commander of a platoon of five M8 Greyhound Tanks (armored cars).  He was a German interpreter, eyes, ears, gunner, and backup driver at the point of Pattons’ victory campaign.  By the end of the war, these M8 Greyhound tanks squads were referred to as “Pattons’ Ghosts”.   This is a book (draft) of Tony’s service at the point of the Victory Division, including till-now undocumented decisive events of WWII.

Work in progress.  Drafts are in place for the chapters in bold.

Ghost Drone
Ghost Drone is one of the HS-Drone platforms named after the the M8 Greyhounds of WW II.  One of the most powerful of today's military capabilities are stealthy drones that can travel through forests and inches above the ground/roads.  HS-Drone adds to these capabilities increased range and speed.
